Epitaph Records brings punk to Guitar Hero: World Tour
A new DLC pack is headed for Activision's Guitar Hero: World Tour (360, PS3, Wii), and this time, it's for all the punk rockers in all of us. Even the name of the pack is punk-sounding, with Epitaph Punk-O-Rama Track Pack as the title. Obviously, as you may also see from the name, it's all about the Epitaph artists.List here:
- "21st Century Digital Boy" by Bad Religion (US 1.99 PSN / 200 Wii Points)
- "Linoleum" by NOFX (US 1.99 PSN / 200 Wii Points)
- "Ruby Soho" by Rancid (US 1.99 PSN / 200 Wii Points)

Grease musical headed to Wii and DS
John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John are coming to the Nintendo consoles! Or at least their Grease characters Danny Zucko and Sandy Olsson are. 505 Games has announced that it is now the rightful owner of the publishing rights for a video game adaptation of the classic musical, "Grease".
The publisher will reportedly work with Paramount Digital Entertainment to deliver the goods for both the Wii and the DS fans. No further details were revealed apart from that, but it's fairly easy to imagine that there will be a whole lot of dance-offs in this game. Maybe the Wii balance board will be used, even. Though I can't quite imagine how that would be sufficient for all the dance moves. A DDR dance mat would probably better, don't you think?
Paramount did say that the Grease game will "take full advantage of Nintendo Wii's motion-sensing controls (don't they all? -Ed) and microphone and DS's touch screen."

Three games to light up your 4th

The founding of a nation is pretty significant and well worth getting excited about. The best way to display said excitement is, of course, with massive, colorful airborne explosions, a.k.a. fireworks. Tomorrow night, towns across the USA will be putting on fireworks displays, big and small -- but why should you have to wait for it to get dark? The games you'll find after the break will let you get all explode-y from the comfort of your living room, without the charred mess and frantic 911 call. So, put on your favorite patriotic tune (it's "The Stars & Stripes Forever" for us) and make with the clicking!

ResumePlay: Games We Want Sequels For
Michael Perry writes: "Looking at the release list for this year, you can see a trend on trying to squeeze as much out of an IP as developers/publishers can get out of it. While we do get games that some gamers might not want a sequel to (the outcry of Bioshock fans comes to mind) there are many games we would like to see the story continue for but still haven't gotten. some of The staff collaborated and came up with their top three games they would like to see sequels made for."
