Majesco has announced that it will release Attack of the Movies 3D on Xbox 360 as well.

Attack of the Movies sends groups of up to four players (wearing up to four pairs of goofy 3D glasses) through movie-themed worlds, rich with hostile sea creatures, aliens, and robots. Don't have your own glasses? No worries -- the game comes with four sets. Not only will you get to shoot stuff with your friends, you'll all get to look like that one guy from Back to the Future when you do!
Either you've played Perfect Dark before, or you haven't. Most readers who find their way here probably have, and the ones who haven't, well, you'll probably need some serious convincing to play a decade-old game that pretty cheerfully ignores the innovations the FPS genre gained from games like, say, Half-Life, and came out on a console that wasn't exactly known as the cutting edge of graphical holyshit-osity. For that first bunch it's really easy to say, yeah, with the HD upgrade Perfect Dark on XBLA looks every bit as good as you remember it. Which, if you actually pop in the cart these days, you'll realize is a hell of a lot better than it actually looked back in the day. Between the replaced textures and multiplayer over Live (in splitscreen, no less) this is a great way to re-enjoy a game you already love. It deserves that love. You should be proud to love it. More so now that it's been touched up without losing a single bit of its original character.

On the other hand, Perfect Dark is old as hell and likely to alienate anyone who cut their teeth on games that came after. If you're one of those people...I'm sorry, but I'll be damned if I can think of a reason to say that this is kind of a major gap in your videogaming experience that you absolutely have to go back and fill in. Unlike some other genres, most first-person shooters are pretty far from timeless. We can't look back on, say, Tetris, and think, "Man, this would be way the hell better with snappier graphics, more block shapes, and an epic storyline that makes us question the nature of our humanity or whatever."

At the Game Developers Conference last week, IndustryGamers sat down with Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime and spent a fair amount of time discussing third-party support for the Wii and Nintendo's role in the third-party publishing ecosystem. While Nintendo continues to do phenomenally well with the Wii, it does seem that since last fall publishers have been reallocating resources towards PS3 and 360, especially when it comes to core games. IG asked Reggie how Nintendo is addressing that situation, and how Nintendo might help out third parties.

"Let me answer the question two different ways. First, as a platform holder our responsibility is to create a large installed base for developers to create content, to provide them with the tools and the insight to help them create great games, and to have in place a profit model that motivates them to create the content and reap the rewards. We've done that; global installed base is over 67 million for Wii and there are 120 million in the DS family. So there's a large installed base, an easy platform to develop for and a strong set of tools out there," Reggie began.

It's been about a month since the launch of the StarCraft 2 beta on PC, but Mac users have been feeling left out in the cold. A Q&A at the Battle.net forums gives Apple users some hope to try the game before it launches. "We are currently working on a Mac version of the beta and hope to release it sometime in April," the post states. "Hang in there."

Blizzard is one of the few companies that has consistently offered Mac versions alongside its PC releases. While a beta is ostensibly a chance to stress-test the servers, and thus it makes sense to concentrate on the platform with a larger audience, some Mac users have felt a bit put out by the long wait. The beta is expected to end in late spring, making the two month gap for a Mac release a pretty substantial chunk of available time. Still, Blizzard is committed to making it happen, when most developers don't bother with the platform. As the old saying goes, better late than never.

Sony announced the release date today for ModNation Racers: May 25. If you're wondering whether that goes for the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Portable version, the answer is "both." As previously reported, the title is set to launch on both platforms, simultaneously, and with similar feature sets. The title is carrying the torch of Little Big Planet's "Play, Create, Share" model, with the ability to create and share custom tracks.

The blog also outlined the pre-order incentives for the game, which vary according to retailer. Each of the "Modded," Mighty-Mugg-style racers hails from a well-known Sony franchise (above). GameStop pre-orders will receive Kratos and his "Kart of Chaos." Those who pre-order from Amazon will get Ratchet or Clank, though the blog is unclear on how the game will determine which. Finally, Best Buy purchasers will get Nathan Drake and the "Jungle Jeep." Each of the pre-order bonuses also includes one of four "Mystery Mod and Kart" packages, which includes an additional character, kart, and accessory. Check out the blog for more detailed pictures of the various incentives.

CoffeewithGames.Blogspot.com shows why Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter's recent statement regarding the February NPD data was wrong.

Michael Pachter said in one part, "Nintendo had warned us that February would be a difficult month due to supply constraints, but we believe that the problem runs deep than that, as sales of staple titles like Wii Fit with Balance Board and Wii Play were well below historical levels. Nintendo's Wii, will not see any exciting exclusives until at least May (Super Mario Galaxy 2) and its software attach rate continues to decline."

Kit Ballard is a pink-haired catgirl bounty hunter with a snappy tongue and a not-so-covered rear end. Now, now, don't leave so soon -- yeah, Blade Kitten has all the markings of a tongue-in-cheek Western adaptation of Japanese comics, a la Ninja High School or its ilk (and in fact, it already is an indie comic), but appearances can be deceiving. Steve Stamatiadis (a.k.a. Space Captain Steve) is the brainchild behind Blade Kitten, as well as a longtime employee of the game's developer, Krome, who have a storied history of making action-platform games, including the Ty the Tasmanian Tiger series and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Compared to those, Blade Kitten narrows its focus a bit, going for a high-def anime-inspired adventure from a strict 2D plane.

It makes sense. As an action game, Blade Kitten is also inspired by the Japanese greats, which can be a lot more agreeable to most people than its style may be. Stamatiadis is clearly a fan of Capcom's Strider, dropping its name a few times when describing the game during a GDC 2010 press demo. It's not a one-to-one clone (so temper your expectations accordingly), but the inspiration is certainly there: Kit is naturally nimble, and can grab and climb onto most walls and ceilings with ease. She's slash-happy, making attacks look satisfying, and like Strider, she has a little pal following her at all times: Skiffy, a cute little creature that also can push buttons and grab things in the foreground and background.
